I believe he can pull it — it's a nice, light, low-rolling-friction trailer, and he is generally energetic and determined.

We harvest the pears when they start to look blush-y or when they fall on the ground. Some of them require a little sitting around to be nice and ripe; we just leave them in a basket on the counter for a few days. I don't think they'll last long enough to need preserving — I'm hoping we still have some left when we visit my parents on the weekend because my dad is a huge pear fan.
