thoughts on Indian food

denkizero and dzuunmod, we came up with the idea that Indian food (at least at our local place, Dosti's) is served spicier if you ask for, say, a lamb madras than a chicken madras. Something along the lines of "if you order lamb, you're not a typical North American who can't handle their spices."
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this.
