Got my passport documents handed in today... had a little scare on account of a small amount of reflection in my picture -- bad, apparently. But after an extended documentation scramble, an early morning, a service outage on the orange metro line and $85 in consular and service fees... I get to sit back and wait on that.

I have decided I hate PowerPoint, more than before. The slides for Subtle Technologies will be done in the L^AT_EX slide environment, methinks. No goofy transitions -- just legible and bulletproof, and not interested in eating my revisions alive because it thinks that’s what I would’ve wanted it to do.

Doing a send-off dinner for my roommate this evening, next stop of her: Missouri.

Tomorrow: I will be in an undisclosed location, away from cell and e-mail, reading stuff that I am not required to read.
