The university’s closed, so I took a day off to do moving-related stuff (sorting trash from movables, updating people on my coordinates, taking a load or two of books over, waiting for the next roomie to come in and pick up some keys).

The first part of the day just flew by, looks like it’ll have been all administrative stuff (keys and addresses) but I think I nailed it all. Next up: a weekend in the country for a wedding, family time and some fresh air with
funny_socks. (That sounded more momentous than it is -- Jordan and Caleb’s wedding, my family [although they seem about ready to adopt
funny_socks too] and all our fresh air!)
I’ve decided all my stamps go out of fashion before I can use up a sheet, while I don’t want to have to buy them one letter at a time. So I went and got a pile of small-denomination stamps: ones, threes, tens and quarters to bump my existing stash into this year. I imagine I’ll be able to bump them into the next rate hike too -- and pretty soon my 52¢ stamps, once good for the US, will be bang on for Canadian addresses.
