trivial update
Aug. 27th, 2004 03:51 pmThe air is almost liquid up here... I’m typing away in the path of my fan with the windows open...
Replaced my bike seat with a cheaper, non-suspension model... I’ve improved my leg suspension some over the past few days, maybe I’ll rely on that. Haven’t decided whether to replace the quick-release nut or just use it. Having the bike seat in hand would be yet another visible-cyclist thing, but rather bulky and probably another one of those clublike implements that makes security folks nervous. Not that I blame them... a steel pipe with a hard metal-and-plastic head...
Sylvain is completely moved-in, minus bed... he’s painted his room half blue, half reddish orange, hung shelves, organized some... that guy has tons of energy...
Vacation is going way too fast, but at least I’m sleeping in, getting bits and pieces done, eating well... had a little printing snafu with some business cards yesterday but I re-sent the file and it should be cleared up now. TA duties are starting up slowly with setup and planning. I’m trying to get out and do stuff without overextending myself, we’ll see how that goes.
Meetup was fun on Tuesday, good conversation on politics, academia and computer hardware.
I should have just one textbook left to buy... borrowing one, got the other one from Chapters at a discount... but MyConcordia has changed its tune and now tells me none-requested and that the prof is now T.B.A. instead of Dr. Gora... I hope this isn’t the last step before cancellation... I need that class!
