Desperados tequila-flavoured "beer"

From France (?!), comes Desperados, a beer flavoured with (among other things) tequila. I had it in a skinny glass with lasagne, cucumber slices and tomato slices.

The beer is golden-coloured with a fairly thick head. A tentative sniff yields a mix of Labatt Bleue and citrus. On drinking, this beer is sort of like an un-slushy margarita — the second ingredient is sugar, and they've boosted the acidity with citric acid. This is not beer. I added a bit more tequila: a little spicier now, nearly as sweet as before. I think a better plan might be to add tequila to Labatt Bleue. After finishing my tasting, I switch to a little glass of tequila.

Next review, I will drink something brewed in accordance with the German purity law of 1516, for a bit of contrast.

We actually only had the dregs of a bottle, but it would have also been accurate to say "I killed the bottle".

Haha, shit, when i first saw a bottle of Desperados here i was intrigued ; too bad it's garbage. :/ People here seem to think it's actually Mexican beer, which is really too bad.
