Date: 2005-05-13 11:38 am (UTC)2. The last film I bought: The third release of the first LOTR movie, box set.
3. The last film I watched: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, also.
4. Five films that I watch a lot
or that mean a lot to me: The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Snatch.. hmm.. oh, wait, i guess i've watched Black Hawk Down a few times also. With the exception of Indiana Jones, I really don't watch movies over and over. And, again with the above noted exception, movies don't generally "mean" anything to me. :Pno subject
Date: 2005-05-13 02:20 pm (UTC)2. The last film I bought: The Incredibles - birthday present for my godchild, although I secretly want a copy!
3. The last film I watched: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where I quite enjoyed the whale and was happy they didn't cut it :)
4. Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me. :
The Rock (only movie where I've worn out a copy and a half ~800 viewings)
Before Sunrise (it was the beginning of a beautiful evening that I won't forget)
Serendipity (I'm a hopeless romantic, this is my crack)
Independence Day (Uber-cheeze, I loved every minute)
Hackers (had I seen this when it originally came out in '95, it would have had the power to make me continue my not-so-upstanding tech ways and I probably wouldn't be typing here right now!)

Date: 2005-05-15 07:01 am (UTC)2. The last film I bought: three DVDs for my family for Christmas, and I'm pretty sure one of them was Hot Shots Part Deux!
3. The last film I watched: Fifth Element. Eye candy and shrieking. Loves it I does!
4. Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me. :
a. Edward Scissorhands - Burton does innocence in a way that HURTS so good!
b. Willow - watched it on a rainy morning at the country house in Ste-Agathe. A vacation within a vacation.
c. Sleeping Beauty - my first excursion to the movies, courtesy of my uncle. It was also my first visit to the bewildering world of 'downtown.' There were forests of legs and the ceilings were all made of sunlit glass.
d. Banana Republic (Woody Allen) - I didn't get it then, but I knew adults were absurd and this captures that in a madcap fashion.
e. Dark City - watched during a dark time. I yearn for a sultry Connelly moment on stage, red dress aglitter, retro mic!
