[livejournal.com profile] jul3z offered to interview all comers, and I got these questions.

  1. I know you're involved with [livejournal.com profile] rottenfruit, but I don't know how you two met.

It was Thursday, the seventh of October last year. [livejournal.com profile] emjayne was having "elevensies", basically gathering a bunch of friends of hers on her lunch break behind the Faubourg. I almost missed everyone, wandering around upstairs for half an hour wondering where they were, but then found them out on the back terrace: [livejournal.com profile] emjayne, [livejournal.com profile] boyinsantiago, [livejournal.com profile] dzuunmod and most importantly for my answer here, [livejournal.com profile] rottenfruit (you can tell this was organized in an LJ post, eh?). I'd seen her journal before, but this was the first time I met her in person. It actually took me another meeting (at MJ's Birthday Incident a couple of weeks later) for me to really get intrigued, and then a very long back-and forth of LJ comments before we met for breakfast one chilly November morning, too early for both of us, but eager to "talk about math and stuff", make googly eyes at each other and try to figure out what the other was thinking. The rest is more or less history, with some serious help from [livejournal.com profile] moonlightjoy, fielding questions from both of us more or less simultaneously: "what's going on?" "do they like me?" "what should I do?" ... she told me not to be afraid and... well, that gets us past meeting, I guess.

  2. You moved into a new place recently, how's the roommate thing working out for you?

Still slowly recovering back rent from one of the ex-roommates; the new place is shared only with a cat and one (formerly two, R.I.P. basil) houseplant. Those roommates are excellent.

  3. When you head out of town next, where are you planning on going and why?

I will probably be heading home to my parents in the suburbs of Ormstown, to visit and have some downtime out there with the family, the critters, the fresh air, and if possible, [livejournal.com profile] rottenfruit.

  4. When do you know it is time to put away your bike for the winter?

When the roads to everywhere I want to get to are completely snowed or iced over in the bike-able lane. That tends to mean sometime around Christmas or early January, and I have been out and about sometime in February. Slush-gargling bicycle hippiedom is fun.

  5. Which has been your favourite course in univeristy?

Probably MATH 464, Real Analysis with Yuri Khidirov. My first hardcore analysis course, first taste of topology, best trial by fire of my proving skills and all-'round head trip. I recommend it to anyone with a mathie bent.

So, if anyone wants some interview questions, step right up and comment. I'll hit you with five questions to grace your journal.
