We're figuring stuff out about Oscar pretty well so far, and he's settling in fine; I'll write a bit more later, but here are some pictures:

what a sweet little wrinkly man! Keep that little hat - they grow out of it soooo fast. He looks super clean, did you wash him already?

I've wiped down his face and diaper region a couple of time, but he hasn't had a full-on bath yet. He didn't come out with much vernix, so he started off relatively clean.

We're totally going to keep the hat — it's such a cute example of improvised clothing in hospitals, and it's the second thing he's worn (there was a first hat that got very bloody and gross very fast, it got cleared away with all the other mess).

ah, I had a very vernixy baby. Admittedly, he did start to smell a little funky after a few days, but I kept it on him as long as I could. And that funky hat - what is it actually for? Making casts? It keeps the "new baby scent".

I think it's a section of leg bandage and/or cast material or something...

But yeah, new baby scent... and it's the only hat we have that fits him, so it may acquire a less-new baby scent, too.

How are those frozen meals holding up? I'm planning to make a batch of "green mack and cheeze" (with Spinach and Bazil) at the end of the month.

We've had a couple of the enchiladas so far; one pan feeds both of us if we throw a bit of salad on the side. They are very tasty and nicely spiced! Thanks for feeding us, and we would love to eat more of your food :)

I doubt he'll lose much squishy/cute for a little while. By "muppet arms", do you mean flaily? He does flaily quite well :)
