Sadly things like this never seem to make a dent in their support. Canada seems to calicified along the lines of people who know the Cons are pure evil, and those who may never believe it.

I'm holding out for compromising photos that will be enough to dislodge his ultra-evangelical base. If they stay home, maybe we can get him out.

You'd think Vic Toews being an unaddressed threat to his own "traditional" heterosexual marriage would be enough to dislodge his personal base, at least, but I kind of hope they implode on issues (deficits? mass detentions without charges? land wars in Asia? a conspicuous absence of actual Russian bombers to shoot down?) so that it's not so easy to just get a different dark horse in a sweater vest and try again.
