metawidgetHad a fun New Year’s celebration, started with the downstairs neighbour and trekked over to NDG to ring in 2004 with my brother (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
loupdebois), his new roommate (cuz_mary_jane), the new roommate’s sister (lily_alone) and a future student of mine (no LJ... what’s with that?) Much drinking, food, strangeness, eels... walked home with the sun rising and split the rest of the day between recovering and helping my new roommate move in.
Now that I look, I hadn’t really covered Christmas... it was really good, we’re a well-oiled machine when it comes to holding feasts back home, and the next generation of kids were bouncing around being cute. I got decked out for the cold weather by various relatives, a copy of Starcraft fromloupdebois, books from my folks, a Get Fuzzy calendar from my sister. I think the most inspired gift I gave was a USB storage widget for my aunt which I split with loupdebois.
The rest of the break has been pretty relaxed... I should be being more productive but that will come I guess. I'm traipsing back home this weekend to see my folks once more before everything gets totally insane, and then it's back to the grind!
