Semiproductive
Sep. 5th, 2003 08:01 pmHad a meeting and got the laptop adapted to life in the lab. Started working on bucketer, but feeling pretty brain-dead. Hoping I'll get ramped up to speed soon. Was presented with the opportunity to do more reseach and less class... I'm not sure, this'll be my last time 'round as an undergrad and, if all goes well, not my last research engagement.
Felt a weird combination of foggy and ravenous, made a cobb salad but substituted green beans for the lettuce and wished I had some stilton or blue cheese. Now just foggy.
Had a good chat this morning about the dating game, planned a non-surprise birthday thing, saw things move forward on the TA-ing. Realized where my umbrella was (7km away, left behind a locked door)... I need a leash for it. Or maybe a Bluetooth Umbrella, which when it gets too far from the Bluetooth cell phone which I don't have, mewls and pukes and wants its owner back.
The somewhat fictional "routine" is cooling into a more finger-friendly lump, from its molten state of earlier this week.

She was right about one thing: you'll be so much happier if you stop worrying about things and just DO them. If the moment looks right, make a move. The worst that can happen with someone like her is she says "umm... this isn't what I had in mind for us" and you stay friends.
Rock on, dude!

As for the compressible umbrellas... they're so flimsy...
